Just days before the Presidential Election, something unconventional is coming to Austin. Unconventional Tour: Making Waves 2008 is coming to Ruta Maya in Austin on Thursday, October 30th featuring a mashup of film, music, politics. Award winning director Penny Little will present her powerful documentary film “9/11 Dust and Deceit”, exposing the effects of the toxic dust of 9/11. There will be live music from electronic duo The Away Team, and reggae, hip hop & dub from Three Shoes Posse and special guest speaker Jack Blood, The Free Speech” Contest gives audience members a chance to rant for 2 minutes - plus there are prizes. The show starts at 8:00. $5 @ the door. This is a fundraiser for the FealGood Foundation and first responders of 9/11, and is co-sponsored by the Austin Campaign for Liberty, Brave New Books, Vote Rescue, and Global Truth Network.
